Synopsis
Biographical drama based on the true story of Alvin Straight, an old man who undertakes a long journey driving a lawnmower to reunite with his sick brother. The film, far from the director's usual surrealism, is about reconciliation, perseverance and the beauty of everyday life. Due to its sensitivity and peculiar approach in this moving road movie, it is considered a realistic parenthesis in David Lynch's filmography.
