Synopsis
The adaptation of the homonymous Gaston Leroux’s novel, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, follows the mysterious and disfigured man who lives in the catacombs of the Paris Opera and his obsession with a young soprano. With a standout performance by Lon Chaney, whose portrayal of the phantom is legendary, the film redefined makeup and atmosphere in cinema, becoming one of the emblematic works of silent cinema and a milestone of horror cinema.
