Synopsis
Based on short stories by acclaimed writer Maile Meloy, this deeply moving film oscillates between the lives of four women living in or around a small town: A struggling lawyer (Laura Dern) and a law student (Kristen Stewart), a resolute mother and wife (Michelle Williams), and a farmer (Lily Gladstone). Awarded Best Film in London, among many other international acknowledgements, Certain Women demonstrates writer-director Kelly Reichardt’s gift for telling the stories of ordinary people with uncommon empathy and sensitivity.
