Rosa Pérez is a Spanish cultural journalist and DJ, an expert in art and music, and director and presenter of the Radio Nacional de España Radio 3 program Fluido Rosa about music and contemporary art. She began on the radio in 1982. Magazine FM, Secuencias, Música es Tres, Noches de Verano, and Hábitat are some of the programs that have shaped a career replete with music and artwork that have shifted from the creative fringes to become an established part of the Spanish cultural scene. She has contributed to magazines such as Boogie, Ruta 66, and Rock de Luxe as a musical consultant, and to the programs Metrópolis and Cachitos de Hierro y Cromo as a scriptwriter. She is part of the Association MAV (Women in Visual Arts) and the international collective of women in electronic creation female:pressure. Pérez also backs SONORAS, a cross-sector network striving to ensure women’s visibility in sound creation.
She has collaborated with the Museum of Contemporary Art of Castilla-León (MUSAC), has curated the Concertados cycle of music and visuals at the Caja de Burgos Art Center (CAB), and worked on live programs for art centers such as the Galician Contemporary Art Center (CGAC, Santiago de Compostela), Barcelona Contemporary Culture Center (CCCB), the Santa Mónica Art Center (Barcelona), and the Estampa and ARCO contemporary art fairs (Madrid).
