Synopsis
Marisa Padrón, the star of the Canarian film LA HIJA DEL MESTRE, released in 1928, was linked to Gran Canaria’s socio-cultural life for several years until she became a recluse after the Spanish civil war. Using unique archive material, the documentary also explores female painters, writers and editors of a magazine that made the most of the narrow slot women were given on the island.
