“This year’s selection seeks to (re)discover the place we occupy as individuals, asserting our will and deciding over our identities. The Official Section gathers works that, through personal dynamics, expose vulnerabilities and question interactions seen as heteronormative. Not to be understood that the intimate quests of the filmmakers are a collection of self-reflecting essay films, yet a diverse outlook on awareness ranging from fiction and experimental to animation. Surpassing parity goals and ranging from Asia to Latin America, the short films have in common the idea of human perception.”
