RÂNIA is the story of a lively teen girl who lives on Santa Terezinha hill in the city of Fortaleza. Rânia helps with the household chores, studies in a local public school, works in a bar on the beach and dreams to be a dancer. Alongside her inseparable best friend, Zizi, Rânia is introduced to the “Sereia da Noite”, a local bohemian joint where fun, dance and money mix, fuse and rock the night. When Rânia meets the choreographer Estela, she will be torn between the nightlife and the daily dance practice, between the possibility to make money and the dream to become a “real dancer”.
